The University of Brunei Darussalam scholarship for graduate students is awarded to talented students, research scholars, and professionals to undertake graduate study and advanced research. The scholarship is open to both Bruneian and non-Bruneian applicants.

Duration of University of Brunei Darussalam scholarship depends upon the length of the program as selected by the candidate. A Master’s by research degree program runs for 24 months, while a master’s by coursework degree programs runs for 12-18 months. Meanwhile, the period of study for a PhD candidate is 36-60 months on part-time or full-time basis.

The candidate should have a first class bachelor degree with a distinction in Master degree or equivalent.
A second class upper honors bachelor degree and a Master degree with good research publication record.
High quality research proposal is also required along with being fit to pursue studies in the area of choice.
The selected candidates will have their tuition fee waived off, including registration and acceptance fee.
Allowance of BND 500 per month along with accommodation on campus is offered for 36 months
Applicants who do not reside in Brunei will be offered one round trip economy class air ticket from their home country upon scholarship acceptance and back to their home country as completion of studies.
Allowances for field research will also be given to arts, humanities and science applications (BND 1000 for Arts and Humanities, and BND 2000 for Science candidates).
