PhD Scholarship Details
The Faculty is offering a limited number of prestigious postgraduate research scholarships to excellent domestic and international applicants interested in pursuing a PhD in FABLE through RTP. Research Training Program (RTP) is an inititative by the Australian Government under Higher Education Support Act (2003). The RTP supports both domestic and international students interested in pursuing a research masters or a research PhD degree in Australia.
Applicants can choose to apply to several study areas available at FABLE. including Accounting, Economics, Finance, Law, Music, Architecture Landscape, Humanities, Social and Cultural Studies, Marketing, Arts, Visual Arts, Education (Early Childhood), Education (Secondary), Management, Education (Primary).
PhD Scholarship Benefits
All selected students will be offered a scholarship package, that includes; living allowance of $33,000 per year, student single health insurance coverage (for international students) and tuition fee waiver.
Eligibility and Selection Criteria
In order to be considered for the Dean’s Excellence in FABLE PhD Scholarships at UWA, candidates must satisfy the following conditions:
- International applicants must meet the eligibility requirements for an International Research Training Program Scholarship
- Domestic applicants must meet the eligibility requirements for a Domestic Research Training Program Scholarship
- The applicant should not have obtained a PhD degree before applying for this scholarship
- The applicant must have graduated from a bachelor’s degree (class honors – H1) or a master’s degree
The applicants will be selected based on the following criteria:
- The applicant’s academic achievement based on their past academic record
- Research potential as per reports from academic referees, relevant research/work experience and research publications
